To date, the company is solely funded by its founders and a few angel investors. Its team
of designers is currently distributed across the globe; in Asia, Europe, Africa, and the

and continues to attract a large number of audience to its sites. Since 2007, over 1
million people have used RentersQ to discover and exchange housing information, while the
registration for the private beta users for Welated has risen to over 15,000 users. The
company does not currently monetize its business, its services are currently free;
sponsored ad supported, and it waits to gain more traction before it starts looking at
setting a pricing model for its premium, paid services.
Founders
Simon Kapenda is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kapenda Media Group, Inc., and
is in charge of leading and implementing the overall strategy and development of the
company. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the College of Social
and Behavioral Sciences at The Ohio State University and is currently studying towards a
